How does the Scan Studio Elite connect to my PC?
The Scan Studio Elite camera requires a 2.5GbE Ethernet connection for optimal performance. To ensure a seamless setup, every order includes:
✔ USB 3.0 to 2.5GbE Adapter (Plug-and-play, no installation required)
✔ PoE Injector (Provides power to the camera)
This setup allows for easy installation without the need for internal hardware upgrades.
Do I need to install a network card (NIC)?
No! The included USB-to-Ethernet adapter works right out of the box. However, for users wanting the best speed and stability, we offer an Intel I226-V PCIe 2.5GbE network card as an upgrade.
Which option should I choose?
✔ Not comfortable installing hardware? → Stick with the USB-to-Ethernet adapter (included for free).
✔ Want maximum performance & know how to install a NIC? → Upgrade to the PCIe 2.5GbE NIC for lower latency and more stable data transfer.

Should I upgrade to the PCIe NIC?
✔ If you don’t want to install hardware, stick with the included USB adapter (plug-and-play).
✔ If you want maximum performance and lower latency, upgrade to the Intel I226-V PCIe NIC.
Do I still need the PoE injector if I upgrade to the PCIe NIC?
Yes! The PoE injector is required for all setups, even if you use a PCIe network card.
Standard PCIe NICs (including Intel I225-V/I226-V) do not provide power, so the PoE injector is always included to ensure your camera functions properly.
Can I upgrade to a PCIe 2.5GbE NIC for better performance?
Yes! We offer an optional Intel I226-V PCIe 2.5GbE network card upgrade for users seeking lower latency and maximum network stability.
However, please note:
✔ We do NOT provide installation or technical support for third-party network cards.
✔ If you are unfamiliar with installing a PCIe NIC, we strongly recommend using the included USB-to-Ethernet adapter instead.
